What causes the air compressor temperature to be too high?
1. Poor ventilation and heat dissipation in the environment
There are three main conditions that affect the heat dissipation of variable frequency air compressors in the surrounding environment: first, they are too close to wall obstacles; Secondly, there are other heat sources near the air compressor. Thirdly, during operation, the front and side doors of the compressor are opened, and the electric fan cannot generate strong airflow.
2. Blockage of radiator
When there is a lot of dust in the surrounding environment of the air compressor, long-term operation will result in a layer of dust or oil sludge adhering to the surface of the radiator, and the internal copper pipes will also be blocked due to the accumulation of oil stains, which will affect the heat dissipation effect.
3. The oil filter is too dirty
The manufacturer of the variable frequency air compressor has three parallel oil filters. When they are too dirty, the resistance oil cannot enter the compressor at the normal flow rate, and the compressor will be heated up due to insufficient cooling lubricating oil When the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet exceeds 0.18MPa, the filter element needs to be replaced.
4. The cooling oil level is too low
When inspecting the refrigeration unit, if the oil level is lower than the lower end of the inspection tube, immediate compensation should be made.
5. Low oil grade or poor oil quality
Special tightening oil from the manufacturer should be selected. If other low-grade or defective oils are used, the viscosity and specific heat may not meet the standard, resulting in high temperature.
6. The tape of the electric fan is cracked or loose
When the tape cracks, the air compressor will automatically shut down after about 5 minutes of operation due to high temperature. If the tape is too loose, it will slip, causing the fan speed to decrease and affecting heat dissipation. At this moment, the tightness of the fan tape should be replaced or adjusted.
7. Oil shut-off valve malfunction
There is an oil shut-off valve between the oil filter and the compressor. When the oil shut-off valve cannot be opened, due to the lack of oil lubrication and cooling, the temperature of the compressor will rise after starting, and it will automatically shut down after about 1 minute Remove the temperature plug on the exhaust end of the compressor host, and you will find that there is no oil on the plug, and there will also be blue smoke floating out from the hole Open the bottom inspection hole of the air compressor, remove the oil shut-off valve, and quietly move the valve stem with your fingers to see if it can be pushed forward and backward and easily reset If it is difficult to move or return, the oil shut-off valve needs to be further disassembled Assuming there is grease on the valve stem or valve hole, it needs to be sanded with fine sandpaper until it can slide easily; Assuming that the disconnection of the tension spring or the presence of foreign objects can also affect the movement of the valve stem, it is necessary to replace the tension spring or clean the tension spring and its seat at this moment.
8. The filter element of the oil-gas separator is too dirty
When it is too dirty, the oil affects circulation due to excessive resistance, resulting in overheating shutdown This situation is judged based on the pressure difference before and after loading. When the pressure difference between the two ends is 3 times or 0.1 MPa from the beginning of startup, it should be sorted or replaced.
The normal operation of factory production is an important factor in maintaining the economic profitability of enterprises, so the stability of air compressors is crucial. In addition to daily maintenance, professional preventive operations cannot be neglected.
